JY Local Backup Privacy Policy

JY Local Backup is a private utility operated solely by its owner. It has no public user accounts, advertising, analytics, or third-party data broker.
Data used
The utility processes only backup artifacts that its owner explicitly selects. It uses the Google Drive API solely to upload, verify, and restore those owner-selected artifacts.
Google account access
The utility requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. It can access only files that it creates or that the owner explicitly makes available to it. It does not request broad access to the owner's Google Drive.
Credentials
OAuth credentials are stored locally for the current Windows user using Windows Credential Manager. Passwords, OAuth tokens, cookies, and client secrets are not published or transferred to a separate application server.
Sharing and retention
Data is transferred directly to the owner's Google Drive account and is not sold or shared with advertisers or data brokers. Backup artifacts remain under the owner's control in Google Drive until the owner removes them.
Control
The owner can revoke access at any time from Google Account third-party access settings.
